You should not need either Networks or Networks+ to keep the two networks you have. Networks+ is a tool for creating and deleting additional networks in WP. Once the networks are create then core WP handles the network.

The issue is URL rewriting, Check with your host to ensure that mod_rewrite is enabled on your account & double check that the rewrite rules from Network Admin -> Network Setup are in your .htaccess.
